Ryan Briones has been selected as a presenter at the Flourish Open Source Conference the first weekend in April at UIC.
Ryan will be speaking about "A Path to Mastering Web Development with Ruby." He'll describe some of the tools developers need to begin web development with Ruby, building upon the principles of web development and an understanding the HTTP. He'll put some of the more popular Ruby web development abstractions into context, showing how to apply them effectively and revealing why Rails is such a tremendous asset to the master developer.
Ryan joins an impressive lineup of speakers at Flourish on April 1-3. There are some highly accomplished folks presenting, including several who are coming in from Silicon Valley for the event. Sponsors include Orbitz, Linux Journal and Threadless, and there's also a mini-expo of companies and organizations.
The Flourish conference promotes the use of open source software and provide a gathering place for open source enthusiasts. 2011 marks the fifth annual Flourish event, and we're pleased that Ryan will be a part of this great event.
If you're interested in learning the latest from the open source community, or if you're one of Ryan's groupies, visit the Flourish site and register to attend here.
